Fan reactions are flowing from the first screening of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and it sounds like the audience should be very, very excited.
The first fan reactions for Venom: Let There Be Carnage are in, and they are overwhelmingly positive. Now the 2018s Poison became a surprise hit, Sony is pushing ahead with its plans to develop its own Marvel universe. Last year should be the releases of Morbius in the Venom 2, both would have fostered the expansion of this world. However, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, the schedule has been reversed: Venom 2 will arrive first, and after some shifting release dates, it will debut in theaters in just two weeks.
The expectation is high for this sequel. Tom Hardy returns as Eddie Brock, the journalist hosted as a symbiote with a hunger for meat and chocolate. Directed by Andy Serkis, Venom: Let There Be Carnage picks up well over a year after the first film and finds Eddie and Venom still adapting to live together. Their progress is disrupted by the arrival of another, much more anxious symbiote named Carnage, who quickly takes on serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) as host.
On Tuesday, September 14th, a special “Fans First” screening of Venom: Let There Be Carnage was held in London. Fan reactions quickly flooded social media, and they all spoke highly of the Marvel sequel. Many praised the absolute madness of the film, while some others insisted that the credits were not to be missed. See some of the reactions below.
I was lucky enough to be among the first (finally!) To be seen #VenomLetThereBeCarnage I love it. The first Venom is my favorite of the modern MCU movies, and #Venom takes all the intelligent next steps, tells a very human and very beautiful story to Eddie Brock. pic.twitter.com/Iwv7uX7ALY

The greatest strength of #VenomLetThereBeCarnage is his frank pacing and exhilarating action. Match with the kinetic energy that Tom Hardy has with himself.
Woody Harrelson enjoys acting as a Kletus / Carnage and is perfect for the role.

Nah. In my entire life, I’ve never seen an entire movie react so strongly to the Venom 2 End Credits scene. Sony delivered.

It is important to remember that these are fan reactions, not critical ones. The Venom: Let There Be Carnage Ratings can paint a very different picture. However, with a film like this, critical consensus is not really important. The first Poison hardly won over critics, earns 30% on Rotten Tomatoes. Fans, meanwhile, liked it and encouraged the film to hit $ 856.1 million worldwide. It was always clear that Venom: Let There Be Carnage would be for the fans, and it looks like she’s completely satisfied she cooked with that Serkis.
Hardy and Harrelson both received a lot of praise from fans, which indicated Venom 2 will offer an excellent pair of leads. It has also been widely reported that people may not miss the end-credits scene; based on the non-spoiler reactions, it sounds as if it is both shocking and gratifying. Some may quickly assume that this means that it is a species Reference to Spider-Man, or perhaps even a connection to the MCU (which is so far separated from Sony’s universe). Up to Venom: Let There Be Carnage coming next month, fans may be speculating on their heart rate.
