Former child actor Brandon “Bug” Hall, who appeared in films including The little racks and The stupid onesis known for his ultra-conservative, religious views that he shares regularly on social media, but this week he upset his audience with a sexist comment about his four daughters that, frankly, seems tame by his own standards.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) announcing the birth of his fifth child and first son, Hall wrote, “I have an heir! Mark Athanasius Chad Anthony Hall-Barnett of Holy Cross was born at 4am weighing 9.5kg. Both mother and baby are doing well. My bride’s fifth delivery, third all natural. Athanasius Contra Mundum.”
When commentators pointed out that Hall is already the father of four girls, the eldest of whom would be considered his heir, replied“I said heir, not dishwasher.”
This caused even more outrage, with many people calling out Hall for his “toxicity” and saying the comments are “disgusting”.
However, Hall has long been a provocateur; his profile says he’s “the patriarch of 5 ladies” and he has a history of anti-gay, anti-trans and men’s rights related posts. In 2022 he was banned from Twitter after promoting corporal punishment to their young children.
However, social media isn’t the only place where Hall finds herself in hot water. In 2020 he was arrested by Weatherford, Texas police on charges of possession for use to inhale/ingest a volatile chemical after he was found with an air vaporizer.
Despite the outrage his “dishwasher” comment sparked, it hasn’t stopped Hall from promoting his patriarchal agenda on his account in the days since.
