While some public figures tend to archive and delete their old ones Instagram post from time to time, Livvy Dunne keeps it all open. And recently, as Olympics and gymnastics has generated a lot of buzz, the LSU gymnast’s older post has been resurfaced. In recent years, Dunne, 21, has become a household name, but her older posts have reminded fans that her superstar status did not come overnight.
Although Dunne did not make it to the 2024 Paris Olympics, the force of manifestation seems to be on her side. Some of her posts date back to when she was a child training for her lifelong dream of becoming an Olympic gymnast. In a photo, published in 2012, a nine-year-old Dunne is seen meet three-time gold medalist Aly Raisman. “I can’t believe I touched Aly Raisman!!!!!,” she captioned the photo.
In another photo, shared in 2015, Dunne met Simone Biles at the 2015 WOGA Classic. At the time, Dunne was 12 and Biles 18, and a year away from competing in their first Olympic Games. Also pictured are Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin and Madison Rau, the latter of whom would later become her teammate at LSU.
Dunne reunited with Biles three years later at the 2018 national team camp. Biles was now a four-time gold medalist, and Dunne was on the way to a promising career.
Dunne’s Instagram page serves as a reminder that the power of manifestation, combined with hard work, is real. It’s only a matter of time before Dunne posts a photo of his first ever Olympics. They say you should never meet your idols, but considering Dunne’s time capsule with the likes of Biles, Raisman, as well as McKayla Maroney, Jordyn Wieber and Kyla Ross, it seems to have worked in her favor.
