LOS ALTOS – Authorities on Monday released a sketch and description of a suspect wanted in connection with a abuse of an elderly man last week in Los Altos.
The suspect is a 20- to 40-year-old white male, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, with a thin to average build, the Los Altos Police Department said in a news release. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt, pants and possibly a baseball cap.
The sketch and description were created with input from a witness, according to police.
The assault happened on Sept. 16 sometime in the late morning to mid-afternoon near the Foothill Expressway and Interstate 280. Police have not released a motive for the attack.
The victim, an 89-year-old Los Altos resident, was taken to an area hospital with head injuries. He is now recovering at home.
“Los Altos police wish the victim and his family the best of luck as they heal from this traumatic experience,” police said.
