An equipment semi-truck that appears to belong to the country singer Luke Bryan stuck under a bridge in downtown Chicago on Saturday, August 24.
Bryan, 48, will perform at Wrigley Field on Sunday, August 25 during his stop in Chicago. Mind of a Country Boy Tour. But on Saturday morning, a bystander took pictures of the truck under a bridge at Irving and DuSable Lake Shore Drive, and later posted the pictures on Reddit.
Interestingly, this is not the first time one of Bryan’s trucks has caused problems during a tour.
Back in 2017, one of his trucks drove into an overpass on a Long Island parkway after a performance at the Jones Beach Theater. Per it Associated Pressno injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
At the time of writing, Bryan has not commented on the truck incident in Chicago.
Earlier this year, Bryan made headlines for his performances, during which he had fallen several times on stage. This sparked rumors that Bryan had been drinking before taking the stage, however in an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!Bryan – who is 6’2″ – attributed the falls to his height.
“I’m up there trying to do Michael Jackson moves in an oversized frame, and when you add water on a stage and fancy cowboy boots, you go down hard,” Bryan said. “It’s not alcohol, fans. People assume — you can’t just drink a bottle of vodka and go do a two-hour show.”
Bryan will return to American Idol for his upcoming 23rd season as judge, alongside Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwoodthe latter which will replace Idol judge Katy Perry. In one interview with Seattle radio host Gabe Mercersuggested Bryan that Underwood “bring on her therapist” before the season goes into production.
“If she has a therapist, she’s probably going to have to double up to deal with me and Lionel,” Bryan said.
