On November 25, Egypt hosted the opening ceremony of a restored road connecting Luxor’s temples of Luxor and Karnak. According to local media, the 3,400-year-old “Sphinx Boulevard” is 2.7 kilometers long and consists of approximately 1,200 statues. The country’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities described the ceremony on Thursday as a “legendary celebration” of the opening of “the world’s largest open museum”.
