The incidents were reported at Nashua’s Mine Falls Park between October 11 and October 16.
Police arrested a man Sunday in connection with an investigation into a man who struck women from behind while riding his bicycle in a New Hampshire park, officials said.
Nashua police said they received five reports of a man hitting women while riding his mountain bike on the trails at Mine Falls Park, according to a statement from the department earlier this month. The incidents were reported between October 11 and October 16.
On October 16, a woman told police that a man “approached her from behind, grabbed her by the hood of her shirt and pulled her to the ground.” According to a statement from Nashua police.
The suspect fled the area on his bicycle, but the victim’s friend took a photograph of the person as he rode away.
Investigators then used video surveillance obtained from security systems to track the suspect to his Blossom Street address shortly after the Oct. 16 assault.
Police identified the suspect as 30-year-old Shane Totman of Nashua and arrested him for simple assault – a Class A misdemeanor – on Sunday.
