A man accused of allegedly sexually assaulting two women in the Lake Macquarie area will appear in court next month.

In October 2021, officers from the Lake Macquarie Police District launched an investigation into reports that two women, ages 41 and 50, were sexually assaulted by a man they met on a social media dating app.

After extensive investigations, detectives arrested a 48-year-old man at an address in Owen Avenue, Wyong, at around 8:50 am yesterday (Thursday, November 25, 2021).

She was taken to Wyong Police Station, where she was accused of having sexual intercourse with another person without her consent four times.

Police will claim in court that the man sexually assaulted women in separate incidents in Fernleigh and Wyong after meeting them on a social media dating app.

The man was denied bail to appear in Belmont County Court on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

Investigations continue.
