A man was fatally shot Sunday afternoon after an altercation in the Bronx, police said.
Officers responding to a 911 call shortly before 3 p.m. found Carlos Rivera, 23, had been shot twice in the chest after an argument with another man near E 176th St. and Anthony Ave.said the police. EMS transported Rivera to Saint Barnabas Hospital, but he could not be saved, police said.
Rivera lived on Clay Ave.less than two blocks from where he was shot, according to police.
The unidentified shooter ran east on E 176th St., police said.
There were no immediate arrests as the investigation continues.
