One man was found dead and another seriously injured in an alleged stabbing on the Upper East Side after a fight escalated out of control Sunday afternoon, according to police and sources.
Police responded to a call reporting an assault at 232 East 95th St. around 1:30 PM and found the bloody spot.
The unidentified deceased man had suffered trauma to the chest and neck, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other man involved, an unidentified 27-year-old, was still present at the scene and suffered cuts all over his body, according to police.
He was taken to New York Cornell Medical Hospital in serious but stable condition.
Two knives were found by the police. It is unclear who started the fight.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has not yet determined the victim’s cause of death.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing.
