HAYWARD – A 60-year-old man was killed in a stabbing Wednesday morning in Hayward, according to authorities.
Paramedics were called to the 800 block of C Street around 6:45 a.m. for a report of an unconscious man, the Hayward Police Department said in a news release. They arrived to find a man who appeared to have been dead for several hours.
During an investigation, police determined that the man had been stabbed, according to police.
– There are no arrests at the moment, say the police. “This investigation is ongoing and additional details will be released as they become available.”
The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau will release the man’s identity after it is confirmed and his next of kin notified.
The death marked the city’s 11th homicide of the year.
