A 62-year-old man died after a tree fell on him while he was driving a skid steer loader and pinned him underneath, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
At 1:14 p.m. Saturday, the Rockland Police Department received a 911 call from a neighbor on Central Street that Raffaele Bruzzese was driving a skid steer when a tree fell on him, trapping him underneath.
Rockland police and fire responded to the scene and transported Bruzzese to South Shore Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
Rockland police contacted the DA’s detective unit to begin an investigation. The prosecutor’s office says the investigation is ongoing, but no crime is suspected.
