A 24-year-old man was killed by a barrage of bullets that tore into his back in a Bronx shooting, police said Saturday.
Police responded at 9:30 p.m. Friday to a call of a man found shot outside a salon on Anthony Ave near E. Tremont Ave. in Morris Heights, where they found the victim sprawled on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the back.
EMS rushed him to St. Barnabas hospital, but he could not be saved. His name was not immediately released.
His assailant fled the scene and no arrests have been made.
It was not immediately disclosed how many shots were fired.
Police searched the area for surveillance footage who may have recorded the violence and may help identify the assailant.
