Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos teased a cheeky nickname for one of their children — one that has quite the backstory.
On Lives with Kelly and Mark this morning Ripa read that “the Hawaiian island of Maui is the most romantic destination to visit with a partner,” usurped Paris. But she and Consuelos pointed out a silly but sobering truth.
“When you travel to romantic places, no matter how romantic and beautiful they are, if you’re with your kids, you don’t really understand the romance,” she teased. “You’re like, ‘This is romantic?’ I don’t get it.'”
Consuelos piggybacked, “If you’re with a bunch of kids, the last thing on your mind is having more kids.”
Ripa mentioned that Aspen, Colorado and New York City also ranked among the top 15 romantic cities to visit with your partner, the latter of which Ripa noted is “very romantic.” However, this prompted Consuelos to take up a city that turned out to be romantic for him and his wife.
“One of our kids, his nickname is ‘Made in Montreal,'” he joked. “Very good city.”
While Ripa said Consuelo’s statement “is true,” she couldn’t hide which child they were referring to for a long time.
“Won’t tell you which one, but he’s our youngest,” she let slip. “Shoutout to Montreal.”
Ripa recalled that she and Consuelos had gone on a trip for their wedding anniversary and that Consuelos’ parents had brought the children.
“We were perfectly fine, we’re going away for two days. What could happen?” she joked.
