Kry is the largest digital healthcare company in Europe and we operate in Sweden, Germany, France, Norway, and the UK (where we are known as Livi). Our vision is to ensure that every patient has access to quality care and that clinics have the best digital tools to deliver it.
We have a digital app that allows patients to connect with medical professionals from their smartphone or a tablet, and a growing software platform that gives clinics innovative tools to deliver high-quality care . So far, we have completed over 3 million video consultants.
How did you come up with the idea for the company?
Being patient is an experience we can all relate to-and we’ve all seen the efficiencies of the health system, notably the long waiting times and difficulties in accessing services when we need them. We realize that we can use technology – already adopted in many industries – to combat system issues and improve patient access, experiences, and outcomes.
Telemedicine has been around for a while but for us, it’s about using it properly for the benefit of the health system. We want to use technology to empower patients and help them make better choices about their health while giving clinicians the tools to do so and building critical capacity in the health system.
How did the company thrive during the pandemic?
The pandemic has acted as a catalyst for health systems around the world to use technology to connect patients to clinics while limiting physical appointments. We have quickly scaled our business to meet the rising demand for virtual healthcare and now have more clinics using our technology and more patients benefiting from it – by 2020 we will have delivered 1.5 million consultations video, a one – year growth of 117 percent.
We’ve done everything to work with health systems for the better and help them navigate the pandemic, with one of our biggest partners – the NHS – where we provide tools for virtual GP consultations and speeds up the communications around vaccine launch.
What can we expect to see from Kry in the future?
Our overall vision is to help more people access quality health care and as we grow, we will work in partnership with healthcare professionals and partners to create a world where access for all quality health care.
We will continue to invest in expanding our offer for patients and clinics across Europe, providing access to a range of digital tools and services to better empower patients, deliver improved health and quality outcomes. of life, one patient at a time.
