Chicago (CBS) — What a nice Tuesday it was, in plenty of sunshine, low humidity and comfortable 70s.
If you’re longing for some summer, get ready to sweat as a giant dome of heat is heading upwards this weekend.
Tuesday night will be light and partly cloudy with low temperature of 58.
On Wednesday, cloud cover with scattered showers may increase, mainly in the south. High is 78.
Several weak disturbances pass through the area on Wednesday and Thursday. They bring the possibility of patchy rainfall, although much of the region will remain dry.
For Thursday, the high is 81.
It is dry from Friday to Sunday.
Temperatures will also rise each day this week and weekend heat-like highs will be on either side of the 90’s.
Unfortunately, our drought is rolling in. We’re about 8 inches below the average for the year so far.
Summer is just 19 days away
