The body of a Golden Gates Estates man missing for 10 days has likely been found, officials said Sunday.
Eduardo Ramirez, 64, was last seen on Aug. 29, with the vehicle he was driving found in a remote area off Beck Boulevard in East Naples.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office said the body was found Saturday, capping an “exhaustive search that spanned 10 days and involved multiple agencies as well as private citizens.” The sheriff’s office said the body was “preliminarily identified.”
Officers with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission had been searching the area south of the 97 Mile Marker in Picayune Strand when they found him Saturday.

The search had included patrol and K9 units, including mounted patrol and aviation units.
The sheriff’s office, in a Facebook post, said Ramirez’s death did not appear suspicious.
“We extend our condolences to his family and thank everyone who participated in the search,” the post said.
