Chicago police said multiple gunmen exited a sedan overnight and opened fire on another vehicle that struck at least three victims in the Austin neighborhood.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m. Saturday, several people got out of a white sedan and opened fire and began shooting at another vehicle, hitting the person inside and two other victims who were standing nearby, police said.
A 33-year-old man who was in the vehicle targeted by the gunmen suffered a wound to his left thigh and was taken to Strogers Hospital where he was listed in good condition. A 43-year-old man standing nearby suffered facial injuries and was taken to Loretto Hospital in critical condition. A third man, 51, who was also standing nearby suffered wounds to the torso and leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.
No one was detained and the police investigated.
