You are a minor league ballplayer. Stadiums can be small, team buses. No private jets, but your physical workload? Well, you are a professional athlete. This means you should probably eat a healthy meal after a game or workout. Which… isn’t asking for much. It’s pretty much the least. But a wholesome dinner isn’t what the Oakland A’s two minor league colleagues have had lately. Fair Festival may be over but its infamous cuisine The two have inspired cooks and third-party vendors for smaller ball clubs.
Nothing like a classic cheese sandwich with a slice of lettuce and tomato. And what’s that in the top right corner? cole slaw? As long as I try to avoid hurting my laptop, I’m sorry.
The next dish we have is the Pepper Taco which consists of two pieces of chicken. Should it have been Fajita?
According to A, the food provider has been fired.
Responding to the tweets of the Advocates for Minor Leaguers, the president of a dave kavalo wrote, “This was completely unacceptable. We terminated the third party vendor when we found out several weeks ago. We apologize to our players, staff and coaches. We provide the best options for our team at every level. Will double our efforts to do so.”
But Harry Marino, executive director of the Advocates for Minor Leaguers, responded to Kaval. ESPN. “I appreciate Mr. Kaval’s immediate acceptance that these meals are unacceptable and his promise to do better in the future.” Marino said in a statement. “Unfortunately, this is far from an isolated incident in Minor League Baseball. Every day, I hear directly from players about the myriad ways in which they are being abused. Where players are too afraid to speak in public. There is a need to hear their stories out of fear of retaliation. I would welcome the opportunity to work closely with Mr. Kaval or any other MLB representative who wants to hear these stories and play baseball for players at all levels. We want to work together to make it better.
Sources also told ESPN that a photo is from May 18 when the A’s Double-A ally, the Midland Rockhounds, played against the Amarillo Sod Poodles. (Sidenote, these names!) The second photo was reportedly taken after May 18 from another A’s minor league affiliate.
Minor leaguers have been around for a long time spoiled In terms of salary, accommodation, equipment, food, and more. They’ve been eating shit for a long time, and it’s time for The Biggs to do something.
