A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug offenses following an operation against the UVF in east Belfast on Wednesday.
Oliver said he and officers from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force in the east of the city conducted a series of searches and seized some suspicious herbal cannabis and other drug paraphernalia.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B controlled drugs with intent to possess and supply Class B controlled drugs.
Police said he is currently in custody.
