The former Arsenal star has said Leeds were excellent in the first half against Tottenham last weekend.

The Whites will face Brighton and Hove Albion away in the Premier League this weekend.

Sky Sports expert Merson believes Leeds will lose 2-0 to the Seagulls.

Merson predicts Brighton against Leeds

Merson wrote on SportsKeeda: “Leeds United were excellent in the first half against Spurs last week and I thought there was no way they would lose that game.

“However, they were bad in the second half and they need to be more consistent to move up the table.

“Leeds are better than they were at the start of this Premier League season, but it’s a tough battle for them.

“Brighton have been impressive under Graham Potter and I would support them to win this match comfortably.”

Leeds United should remain positive

As Merson notes, Leeds were brilliant in the first half against Spurs.

Yes, Leeds were not great in the second half, but we have to give credit to Antonio Conte’s team for increasing their game after the break.

Brighton are a good team, but in our opinion Leeds can certainly beat them.

Even away from home.

Leeds play good football and we believe that over time they will increase the distance between themselves and the relegation zone of the Premier League.
