Fremont police are investigating a homicide that left a man dead Thursday night, according to a news release from the department.
Detectives and officers are following leads to find the suspect in this active investigation, police said. No arrests have been made and no suspect information has been provided.
Police are asking people to stay off the area of Grimmer Boulevard between Fremont Boulevard and Paseo Padre Parkway.
Around 4:40 p.m., police received several calls about shots fired in the 40400 block of Grimmer Boulevard. When the police arrived at the scene, they found an injured man down on the sidewalk. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not release the victim’s identity pending notification of their next of kin by the medical examiner.
