Police have opened a death investigation after a man was discovered Wednesday afternoon with a gunshot wound in a parked vehicle on the South Side of the Bronzeville neighborhood, officials said.
Shortly after 5:15 p.m., officers discovered a 44-year-old man unresponsive in a vehicle in the 4000 block of South King Drive. The man had received a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Chicago police said.
The man was not yet identified, according to police, and a death investigation is underway.
