Reign of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Manchester United manager finally finished

The Norwegian’s three-year tenure ended on Sunday, after he lost to Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.

First-team coach Michael Carrick will take charge of Tuesday’s next Champions League game against Villarreal and said the club is looking to hire a temporary manager until the end of the season.

At this point, Solskjaer’s permanent successor would be decided, although much could change.

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino, former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, is the current leader who took on the job after being spoken to earlier, while Old Trafford is highly considered.

While Brendan Rodgers’ work at Celtic and Leicester City is also noteworthy, Erik ten Hag of Ajax is another option considered.
