GRAHAM Potter spoke to the media for the first time in over a year. Brighton and Hove The Albion actor was arrested last week.
Potter was stuck discussing football issues at a press conference before Albion’s Premier League match against Norwich City on Saturday.
this is the first albion Press conference since a player in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault at a Brighton nightclub on 6 October.
Albion previously released a statement confirming that the club had assisted police in an investigation.
Today, Potter gave updates on the Albion roster, discussing injuries and who could qualify for the Norwich game.
He confirmed that Danny Welbeck and Steven Alzate are both expected to be out for three months after having the surgery.
Albion couple Enock Mwepu and Adam Webster are back in training and have a chance to be selected for this weekend’s match.
The name of the Albion player, who was arrested earlier this month, cannot be released for legal reasons.
He was released on conditional bail until November 3, along with another man in his 40s.
Albion found nothing to add to his current statement regarding the arrest, which was published earlier this month.
At the time, a club spokesperson said: “Brighton and Hove Albion are aware that one of their players is assisting the police in an alleged criminal investigation.
“The matter is subject to a legal process and therefore the club cannot comment further at this time.”
