Donald Trump’s former chief of staff Mick Mulvaney says President Biden did not receive public backlash because he decided to leave Afghanistan but rather because it was only poorly executed.
“He missed that deadline. The deadline we set was in May and I think Donald Trump would have met it, Mulvaney told Sky News Australia.
“I do not think you saw the public push back Biden because he made the decision to leave, it was the circumstances and the practical aspects of leaving the country.
“He just drove very badly.”
