The plan includes a series of initiatives to promote a Christian nationalist perspective on the family while neglecting the non-traditional families that now represent the majority of American households. “We have very limited protections in terms of a social safety net for American families,” said Melissa Murray, a professor at New York University and a leading expert in family law. “What Project 2025 proposes to do is to make these available only to certain types of families.”
