Amidst the bitter cold and New England’s football woes, Dunkin’s iconic pumpkin spice line can always cheer fans up — and this year, they’re adding alcohol.
Last week, the company announced a limited edition Dunkin’ Spiked Pumpkin Spice Iced Latte. The canned drink joins Dunkin’ Spiked original, caramel, mocha and vanilla flavors of ready-to-drink alcoholic coffee.
“As one of our most anticipated seasonal offerings, the Pumpkin Spice Latte has become a staple amid everyone’s favorite cozy season,” said Brian Gilbert, Dunkin’s vice president of retail business development. with a grown-up twist on the beloved drink.”
The coffee company recommends either opening the can by itself or pouring the latte over ice and topping it with whipped cream. The drink, which has an alcohol content of 6%, is vegan and lactose-intolerant friendly with a dairy-free creamer.
The drink will be available at grocery stores and local convenience stores in 27 states, the company said in a statement press release.
The limited-edition drink comes on the heels of the success of Dunkin’ Spiked over the past year, particularly in New England, according to the company.
“After receiving such an overwhelmingly positive response to our Spiked Iced Coffees after just one year on the market, Dunkin’ Spiked Pumpkin Spice Iced Latte felt like a natural addition to the line,” said Gilbert.
