FIVE former winners of the iconic Scott Trial were among drivers vying for the 2021 title at the Yorkshire Dales on Saturday.

Organized by the Richmond Motor Club, the event attracted top riders from all over the British Isles, and French ace Benoit Dagnicourt traveled from Nemours, south of Paris, to try out the Yorkshire countryside.

Plenty of spectators saw Guy Kendrew complete the 70-mile course in just five hours, 17 minutes, and 56 seconds.

Only winners Jack Price and Billy Green managed to reduce their time error to six.

Even former winners James Dabill and Richard Sadler from Wensleydale faced damaging time penalties.

Skeeby’s Jonathan Richardson was a favorite to share the fastest time, but he ran out of fuel and the lost time swept his chances.

He fell to thirteenth place with observation losses.
