Ripon driver clocked at 99mph could lose his license

A MOTORIST caught driving 99 km/h on the M1 from North Yorkshire will find out next month whether he will lose his license.

Justin Hodgson, 49, from Hell Wath Grove in Ripon, was watched by a speed camera as he broke the 70mph highway boundary between junctions 39 and 40 northbound on the M1 near Wakefield.

The case came before West Yorkshire magistrates sitting at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on 5 October.

They delayed it until November 11, 2021 to assess whether Hodgson would be disqualified from driving.
