(cbsdfw)- The fast-paced and action-packed world of rodeo comes to CBS this Sunday, June 6, when the network airs a full recap of last month’s world champion Rodeo Alliance Rodeo Corpus Christi. The incident, which is one of the heads of WCRA, sees a teenager attempting to go one step further to earn a $1 million bonus.
The WCRA introduced the Rodeo’s $1 million dollar Triple Crown in 2019 as an incentive to pay out any athlete or collection of rodeo athletes who win three consecutive WCRA majors.
This brings us to 17-year-old tie-down roper Riley Webb of Decatur, Texas. Webb entered Corpus Christi with a TCR win already under his belt and was looking to move closer to taking the prize. Webb stole the show at Stampede last August’s E by winning his first WRCA major to put him in position to take second place in Corpus Christi.
A fascinating matchup in breakaway roping as well as teenager Madison Outier faces 20-time world champion and
Sports legend, Jackie Crawford. Outier won the women’s title in November and the Women’s Rodeo World Championship with a salary of $60,000, while Crawford won the all-around title at WRWC while still seven months pregnant.
In addition to the roping event, rodeo fans will see barrel racer and professional ballet dancer Maggie Palonsic take on two-time WCRA Barrel Racing Champion Michelle Darling in the Triple Crown round.
And finally, bull riding fans get to see two tours of Professional Bull Riders (PBR), in which fourth-placed Joao Ricardo Vieira takes on ninth-placed Derek Colaba in the Triple Crown round.
All rodeo action can be seen on CBS Television Network starting this Sunday, June 6 at 1:00 p.m.
