R&B singer Kehlani’s ex, Javaughn Young-White, has filed for full custody of the 5-year-old daughter he shares with the singer, claiming his baby mama is in a cult.
Claiming that he is not even named on the tot’s birth certificate, Young-White filed court documents alleging that Kehlani, whose full name is Kehlani Parrish, is controlled by a group whose leader has questionable practices and whose top honcho has faced “numerous charges of having committed sexual abuse of women and young girls,” Vibe reported.
Young-White also said daughter Adeya Nomi sleeps in a bed with other cult members and is asked by random strangers when Kehlani is gone, according to court documents obtained by People.
The father said he is prevented from seeing his daughter because the cult leader convinced Kehlani that he is a danger to the child. He asks for support from spouses also in the application.
The two were a couple from 2018 to 2019, the year Adeya was born. Kehlani came out as gay in 2021.
Since the report, the former couple has been ordered to attend mediation sessions to resolve custody, visitation and other co-parenting issues, TMZ reported.
