ORANGE (CBSLA) – On Thursday, a spokesperson for Bill Clinton said the former president was hospitalized at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
Angel Ureña, spokesperson for the president, tweeted, “On Tuesday evening, President Clinton was admitted to UCI Medical Center to receive treatment for an infection not related to Covid. He is recovering, in good spirits, and incredibly grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff who have provided him with excellent care.”
Ureña also helped the former president’s doctors, Dr. Alpesh Amin and Dr. She tweeted a statement from Lisa Bardack, saying, “President Clinton was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center and diagnosed with an infection. He was hospitalized for close follow-up and given IV antibiotics and fluids. He remains in the hospital for continuous monitoring. After two days of treatment, her white blood cell count tends to drop and she responds well to antibiotics. The California-based medical team is in constant communication with the President’s New York-based medical team, including the cardiologist. We hope he returns home as soon as possible.”
