Plan applications for felling 64 trees have been submitted during the last four weeks.
The first two weeks saw only four requests. But then at least 41 of the weeks were marked for harvesting by the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust in Homestead Park (The Press, May 25). This was followed by more applications for another 16 this week.
One can only hope that the Council will do the right thing and reject this mass destruction.
R Hutchinson, Count de Burgh Terrace, York
