Several people were arrested by police after a man was fatally shot Sunday morning in northwest suburban Streamwood, police said.
The shooting was reported around 2:20 a.m. in the 300 block of Cedar Circle. The victim, a 24-year-old Elgin man, was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced dead.
Although the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unknown, police determined the incident was isolated and there was no further threat to the public. Several people were arrested, the police said.
