A sedan hit an SUV, causing it to lose control and hit a building overnight on the South Side, Chicago police said.
About 1 a.m. Friday, a 32-year-old man was westbound in the 1200 block of West 81st Street when he ignored a traffic control device and collided with an SUV that lost control and struck a building, police said.
The man and a female passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where both were listed in good condition. The driver of the sedan was not injured, police said.
A building inspector was called to the scene to ensure the building was structurally safe. Action was pending against the driver of the sedan.
