Chicago police deployed a SWAT team in response to shots fired early Sunday morning in Roseland. One suspect was arrested and two people are in hospital.
A 29-year-old man who self-transported from the scene in the 10500 block of South Cottage Grove to University of Chicago Hospital was reported in critical condition after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
A second unidentified victim was taken to Roseland Community Hospital with a wound to his left forearm. They were reported to be in good condition.
After barricading himself at the scene after the 2:13 a.m. shooting, a suspect was eventually arrested without incident.
Area Two detectives are still investigating.
