Talking Chop Podcast: Atlanta Braves World Series Game 2 Recap

Author: | Posted in Sports No comments

The Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros travel on Thursday, and the two teams are tied at 1-1 in the 2021 World Series. After the Braves opened with a win, the Astros struck in on Wednesday in a skewed manner. The Talking Chop Podcast was convened for episode 323 after the finale in Minute Maid Park, and there is plenty to consider.

TC’s Brad Rowland and Scott Coleman join forces to break down these issues:

  • The first round was marked by referee discussion and a broad strike zone
  • Houston struck first … and never came back
  • Travis d’Arnaud gave Braves life with a home run in the second
  • The bottom half of that frame went horribly, from BABIP luck to switching to poor defense
  • Several defensive issues appeared later in the game
  • Dylan Lee was offended by the play behind him
  • Kyle Wright impressed in his first postseason action
  • Tucker Davidson was added to replace Charlie Morton
  • What’s next for Game 3 and later?
  • A whole lot more
