A truck explosion that killed one person in Tel Aviv on Sunday is being investigated as a possible terrorist attack, according to multiple Israeli media reports.
The Times of Israel reported Sunday that Tel Aviv Police District Commander Peretz Amar told reporters at the scene that the explosion was caused by a bomb.
“It is difficult to identify the body,” says Amar. “We know he is not an innocent civilian, but someone who was carrying an explosive device.”

“Was this criminal or one [terror] attack? The man’s identity is crucial to determine this, he says, adding that the possibility that it was an attempted attack is strengthened by the findings at the scene.
Amar added that a passerby, who was also injured in the blast, might be able to help the probe.
