Thanksgiving FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for week 12 Thursday tournaments

Author: | Posted in Sports No comments

Football is synonymous with Thanksgiving, and now is a good time to start a new football-related Thanksgiving tradition: to win some money in daily fantasy football tournaments. This year’s DFS board for Thursday features players from the Bears, Lions, Raiders, Cowboys, Bills and Saints, but thanks to injuries and illness, several big names may be out of the game (Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, Alvin Kamara, Allen Robinson) . It just creates more potential value changers, and we’re excited to take advantage of our FanDuel lineup choices.

Before we get into the lineup, here are the basic rules for FanDuel contests. Scoring is pretty standard, with the only notable settings four-point passing TDs and half point PPR.

FanDuel Thanksgiving Picks: Thursday’s DFS lineup

$ 60,000 budget to have at least one player from each team

QB Dak Prescott, Cowboys vs. Raiders ($ 8,200)

Prescott is fresh on the season’s worst 4.64 FanDuel points, and he will be without Amari Cooper (COVID) and probably CeeDee Lamb (concussion). We still like him jumping back against the Raiders defense and pampering his home fans with a Thanksgiving performance worthy of a turkey leg after the game.

RB D’Andre Swift, Lions Vs. Bears ($ 8,000)

Don’t let the Lions ’betrayed record overshadow the fact that Swift is playing this season. He has rushed for at least 130 yards in two games in a row and reached at least 15.0 FanDuel points in five of his last six games. The Bears are a stingy race defense, but Swift should still be able to gather the FD points we are looking for.

DK lineup | Start them, set them | Lamb update | Ingram update

RB David Montgomery, Bears @ Lions ($ 7,500)

Montgomery has dominated the backfield work in its return to action, but has yet to handle a full serving of touches. The Bears are favored by three, so the matchup suggests a favorable script where Montgomery can finally stretch his legs and handle a full serving of volume.

WR Darnell Mooney, Bears @ Lions ($ 6,800)

Mooney has taken advantage of Allen Robinson’s absence – both literally and figuratively. Mooney has scored three times in the last three games, including a quick touchdown, and will be in a good position to deliver another big game as the Bears’ top perimeter opportunity.

WR Michael Gallup, Cowboys vs. Raiders ($ 6,500)

Thursday is an excellent opportunity for Gallup to earn itself – and DFS players – some money. With Cooper and Lamb likely to miss Thursday’s competition, Gallup will have the opportunity to serve as the Cowboys’ No. 1 option in the passing game. He has gone over 100 yards with a touchdown three times in his career, and a fourth may be in the cards at this spot.

WR Emmanuel Sanders, Bills @ Saints ($ 5,800)

Sanders has cooled considerably since a warm start, but we are hoping for lightning in a bottle. Saints’ No. 1 cornerback Marshon Lattimore may be inconsistent, but he is also capable of suffocating top receivers. If Stefon Diggs finds himself bottled up in the stretch of Thursday night, Sanders has proven he is capable of tackling. We accept the risk-reward profile instead of choosing a higher floor, such as the one that comes with Hunter Renfrow. We also hope Sanders’ latest cold streak will lead to lower ownership.

Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

TE Dalton Schultz, Cowboys vs. Raiders ($ 6,000)

Schultz remains a fixture in Cowboy’s passing game. His eight goals against the Chiefs were number two on the team and he expects another big workload this week. He has scored double-digit FanDuel points three times this season and it is reasonable to bet on a fourth.

FLEX Mark Ingram, Saints Vs. Bills ($ 6,600)

Ingram’s choice has nothing to do with what Jonathan Taylor just did at this Bill’s defense last week. If anything, they will be extra reinforced to shut down the race. What we like about Ingram is the heavy workload – both on the ground and through the air – he has handled in Alvin Kamara’s place. His carry-on and goals have increased in each of the last two weeks and he should be heavily involved again.

Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

D / ST Dallas Cowboys vs. Raiders ($ 4,000)

It’s easy to watch the Cowboys’ offensive games last week and reject the solid defensive performance they delivered. Meanwhile, the Raiders are fighting in all facets, and it would not be a surprise to see them unravel further in a short week.
