Dover-Sherborn Regional High School moved into the No. 1 spot.
Boston the newspaper has released its annual list of the top high schools in the Greater Boston area, 150 public high schools ranked within, or partially within, the I-495 corridor.
The newspaper ranked the schools on the list based on criteria including class size, student-teacher ratio, graduation rates, standardized test scores and teacher evaluations. Highly specialized schools and charter schools were not included.
For the 2024 rankings, Dover-Sherborn Regional High School moved to No. 1, up from No. 3 last year. Weston High School took the number 2 spot after taking first place in 2022 and 2023.
The paper also included the median household income and average home prices for each school’s city. According to Bostonthe housing prices and income information were not factors in determining the ranking. For eight of the schools in the top ten, the average home price in the city was listed as more than $1 million.
