According to several confirmed reports, the city of Chicago is selling Parkway Gardens, one of its most infamous housing complexes. MTO News has confirmed that the Parkway Gardens are known as “O-Blocks” in Rap Street and Chi-Town streets.
Notorious projects for sale include Red Related Midwest, Real Estate Solidarity, which owns 13 acres of land with 694 apartments. Since most of the housing is government-subsidized, MTO News has learned that the City of Chicago must approve the sale, and they have.

“While operating Parkway Park, we are grateful that we have been able to provide basic improvements by partnering with community organizations to bring new programs and services to residents. We are actively looking for new leadership that will build our efforts more strongly and continue to be an affordable housing for years to come, ”the related Midwest said in a statement.
And the two highest bidders seem to be the Wall Street Hedge Fund.
