The Board of the Dubai Women Establishment held its third meeting this year, and the first for it after the new formation, in accordance with Decree No. (28) for the year 2021, issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of United Arab Emirates and rulers of Dubai.
The meeting reviewed a number of programs and projects that the Foundation intends to implement in the coming period, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Prime Minister, Her Highness Sheikha Manal bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance and chair of the Dubai Women’s Establishment, and in line with the Foundation’s strategic goals, which aim to support women in the social and professional field and strengthen their economic role.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairman and CEO, Mona Ghanem Al-Marri, and the Board members attended: Huda Al-Sayed Mohammed Al-Hashemi, Deputy Minister of Strategic Affairs, Huda Issa Buhamid, Marketing Manager and Deputy CEO of Strategy and Government Communications. Khawla Rashid Al Muhairi, Editor-in-Chief of Al Bayan, Mona Darwish Bu Samra, President of Business and Product Development at the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, Fahima Abdul Razzaq Al Bastaki, Designer and Entrepreneur, Al Joud Ahmed Lootah, Managing Director of the General Manager’s Office and Chairman of the Board of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. Mona Al Marri said: “The meeting discussed the development of the Dubai Women’s Foundation Strategy 2022-2026, which stems from the Dubai Government’s strategy and the next fifty year plan in the country, which aims to raise Emirati women, increase their participation in all sectors, and increase their representation in senior positions and take centers. The decision, which helps to strengthen its role in shaping the social and economic future of the Emirate of Dubai and the country in general, is a translation of the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. She announced that this new strategy will be launched in December next year, coinciding with (Expo 2020 Dubai), among other things, the foundation’s activities in this major global event in line with its strategic goals.
The Board of the Dubai Women Establishment appreciated the constructive cooperation with the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai, of which the “Women’s Legislation Laboratory” is one of its important fruits and praises both parties’ efforts to develop and launch “Guiding Guide for Women’s Distance Working “, In cooperation with the Executive Office of the Emirate of Dubai, and a number of relevant departments of the Emirate, in order to ensure the proper application of teleworking systems approved by employers of female employees and to achieve harmony between them and the approved government’s policies and policies regarding a work environment that promotes more employment and retains Emirati female cadres at work. By helping her achieve a balance between her work commitments and the demands of her family life, while ensuring business continuity in emergencies, raising the level of happiness and positivity among female employees and increasing productivity.
A number of the foundation’s new programs were also reviewed, including executive meetings for women leaders, which it intends to organize on the 21st and 28th of this month for leaders in the public and private sectors, where experts and academics will lecture at the American University of Singularity, with a view to to improve the professional skills of working women and thereby contribute to raising the level of performance Productivity and work environment development.
The Board of Directors of the Dubai Women Establishment reviewed the activities of the Dubai Ladies Club over the past period, reflecting its efforts to provide the best services to members and visitors.
The meeting was attended by the Dubai Women Establishment team: Naima Ahli, Head of the Corporate Support Department, Acting Director of the Dubai Ladies Club, Al Maha Al Bastaki, Sultana Saif, Head of the Corporate Communications Department and Maitha Shuaib.
