And that’s because of the hashrate limiter. Not yet officially announced but leaked, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti offers an Ethereum Hash Rate of 58 MH / s. So this GPU came to be limited by NVIDIA for cryptocurrency mining, in the hopes that it would help improve stock availability for PC gamers.
That amount is about half as much, however, the RTX 3080 Ti is capable of reaching a Hash Rate of 58.04 MH / s Ethereum mining, so despite being limited to half the performance it is still profitable due to the current value. This means that the green team’s new graphics card offers the same Hash Rate of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti without limitations, but with a consumption of 299W, which is almost double.
The RTX 3080 Ti will use the GA102-225 graphics chip, offering a total of 10,240 shading Cores, 320 TMUs / Tensor Cores, 112 ROPs, and 80 RT Cores. The graphics card will have frequencies of 1365/1665 MHz and will also be provided with 12 GB of GDDR6X memory on a 384-bit bus and has a TDP of 350W.
