The link offers free scooter rides to reach vaccination centers

To protect communities in Italy and Spain against Covid-19, Superpedestrian is providing a € 10 million free ride on its LINK scooter so citizens can reach vaccination centers.

To support the release of Covid-19 vaccination programs in Italy and Spain, Superpedestrian announced today the provision of one million free rides on the world’s leading shared e-scooter, LINK.

Free rides are available in all European cities currently served by LINK scooters, including Rome, Madrid, Turin, Palermo, Málaga and Alcalá de Henares.

The total coverage of free rides was calculated by assessing the number of people in each city eligible for vaccination who were likely to choose a shared e-scooter as a mode of transportation for a short trip.

This program will be of particular benefit to people living in low -income communities, who may struggle to reach immunization centers, the company claims.

Riders can download the LINK Scooter app (available in Apple and Android app stores) and complete a simple online form to add € 10 to their account.

Haya Verwoord Douidri, VP (EMEA) told Superpedestrian:

“We are extremely grateful for the courage of the medical staff who continue to work tirelessly to protect communities.”

“We already provide free rides for heroes, so now is the time to help residents do their part by going to vaccination appointments. Our free ride campaign represents a significant investment, following a similar release in our US markets, and will help protect the health of many people throughout Spain and Italy. “
