It’s not Versailles – but it’s on a golf course and sits on a spacious lot.
Jackie Siegel, aka “The Queen of Versailles,” and her husband, Westgate Resort’s David Siegel, have put one of their homes in Florida — at 222 Pawnee Trail, in a gated Kissimmee compound near Disney World — on the market for $1.2 million.
“The house is really special,” Jackie Siegel said. “I bought it because it’s on 5 acres on a golf course. If someone wanted to play golf, they could join the club and also have horses. When everyone moves to Florida, this house is a little haven, because the new houses are now built on top of each other and this is at the end of the street, in nature.”
That said, the property is part of the Happy Trails equestrian community and has 356 feet of frontage on the 14th hole and 15th tee box.
Siegel was about to build a 90,000-square-foot home in Florida when the recession hit in 2008. Since then, she’s been the subject of a 2012 documentary, “The Queen of Versailles,” a spin-off series and soon, a Broadway -play.
Siegel tells Gimme Shelter that the home is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
“My goal is to move in in January for our 25th wedding anniversary,” Siegel said, adding that she plans to use the home “to bring attention to the drug epidemic” after losing her 18-year-old daughter, Victoria, in 2015.
This heritage listed Spanish style home was built in 2006. At 6,559 square feet, it was recently renovated. It has a chef’s kitchen and furnished balconies.
There is also room to renovate, build an addition – and even build a separate guesthouse for a buyer to create their own family compound.
