The US Navy says that sailors who refuse vaccines will be deported

The aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt moored at the Guam naval base in May last year after being forced to land due to a Covid-19 eruption that infected about a quarter of the ship’s 4800 crew.

The U.S. Navy said on Thursday that staff who refuse to vaccinate against Covid-19 will be expelled from the force, before the November 28 deadline for injections.

“As Covid-19 vaccines are now mandatory for all military members, the Navy has announced plans to begin treatment for those who refuse vaccination without pending or approved exemption,” the statement said.
