Governor Tim Waltz reportedly described himself as the “anti-Tommy Tuberville” at a fundraising event in Boston on Thursday night.

2024 vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris was quoted as saying, “I feel like one of my roles in this now is to be the anti-Tommy Tuberville, to show that football coaches aren’t the dumbest people.”

The incident was reported by HuffPost senior politics reporter Igor Bobic and NBC News Washington DC correspondent Yamiche Alcindor, referring to the White House press pool.

Newsweek contacted the press office of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Kamala Harriss presidential campaign for comments via email on Thursday outside regular business hours.
