  • PHILADELPHIA — Tom Brady scored two goals, Leonard Fournette ran two points, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 28-22 on Thursday night.

Playing with an injured thumb, Brady came out shooting. The 44-year-old, seven-time Super Bowl champion threw TD passes in the first two runs of Tampa Bay and went 12v11 for 121 yards.

His best game came after the Hurts’ second TD run, with the 2-point conversion drawing Philadelphia with six points with 3:05 left in the fourth quarter.

The Eagles (2-4) were undefeated in three home games under rookie manager Nick Sirianni. They booed at halftime but fought to close it.

After two consecutive triples, Brady led the Bucs into another point run, and Fournette came in from the 2nd, widening the lead to 21-7. Tampa widened the lead to 28-7 when Fournette came in from 1 in the third quarter.

Brady was 22/22 before missing three straight passes, including a deep ball caught by Anthony Harris late in the second quarter that ended the 227 passing streak without picks.
