Donald Trumps advisers are growing increasingly concerned about his failing public appearances since the attempt on his life and the Democratic presidential candidate switcheroo — while knowing he is unlikely to change.
According to a new Axios ReportTrump has become increasingly angry and frustrated privately as Kamala Harris has surpassed him in several polls, a lead that is likely to only grow after next week’s Democratic National Convention. Fresh Vote from New York Times on Saturday, Harris found himself leading Trump by four points — just within the margin of error — in three key battleground states, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan. The Times too reported that two recent private Ohio polls conducted by Republicans showed Trump getting less than 50 percent of the vote against Harris. In 2020, Trump won Ohio with 53 percent of the vote.
Trump’s anger at the Democrats’ return was first apparent in one Times report on Friday, which noted that Trump repeatedly called Harris a “b—h” in private. He had that too a help text billionaire Miriam Adelson, one of Trump’s wealthiest supporters and funder of the super PAC Preserve America, to complain that those responsible for the group were “RINOs” — Republican in name only — according to Times.

Aides feared Adelson, who was reportedly stunned by the outburst, might reduce her donations.
But Trump’s advisers are also aware that they are unlikely to change a 78-year-old man known for his stubbornness. Therefore, they are focused “not on the need for him to change but on the need to adapt his message to win,” a source told Axios.
“But he must convince self to leave the other trash behind,” the source continued.
The “deeply rattled” advisers also hope he will tackle a new “hard-hitting” stump speech pushing a winning message, and have invested tens of millions in television ads in a campaign targeting states like Georgia, North Carolina and Michigan.
